BIO

Patrick is a Global Business Development Manager at Dezan Shira & Associates’ Shanghai office. He advises clients on market entry strategy, corporate structuring and establishment, and related tax and legal issues concerning investment in China.

Patrick concurrently also oversees Dezan Shira’s China Business Intelligence Unit. The BIU coordinates targeted research and intelligence on best practices, cultural triggers, operational issues, and policy and regulatory changes that impact operations for foreign companies entering into and growing in Asia.

Prior to joining Dezan Shira & Associates in December 2014, Patrick worked in a Shanghai-based international advisory firm. His work included designing and implementing legal and operational solutions for foreign direct investment projects in China and cross-border transactions involving Chinese counterparts.

Patrick has a keen interest and study of political economy with special focus on western influences on Chinese policy. He is a Washington, DC native and a Georgetown Hoya.
