2020 VAT Policy Strategy Workshop (CN)

On January 9th, Hannah Feng, Partner, and Ines Liu, International Business Advisory Assistant Manager, will be briefing audience members on China's first ever VAT Law.

Hosted by AmCham China, experts from Dezan Shira & Associates as well as KPMG will come together to hold a VAT policy strategy workshop. The draft of China's first ever VAT Law was released on November 27 and the State Taxation Administration (STA) is now seeking public comments. The aim of this workshop is both to develop comments on the draft law itself, and also form the basis and tone for future advocacy efforts, including but not limited to the law's implementation measures.

What will be discussed?

Hannah and Ines will brief the audience on the changes reflected in this draft and the future trends.  A group discussion will also be held to dive into and discuss what the business sector can expect and what changes the tax authorities will likely adopt.
