ASEAN – Unmatched Opportunities

Are You Ready For ASEAN? The emergence of the ASEAN trade bloc is having a significant impact on China and beyond. In this presentation, the demographic changes in China are discussed, along with the emergence of India, the repositioning of both in the global supply chain and the impact of ASEAN and global trade. Upcoming Free Trade Agreements that bind China together with India, ASEAN and the rest of Asia are also considered, along with what this means for businesses interested in developing opportunities from China and beyond.

Chris Devonshire-Ellis, the Founding Partner of Dezan Shira & Associates, will be presenting on this topic during the upcoming Austria Connect Greater China 2013 Conference & Forum, in Hong Kong, October 17-18, 2013. 

Continuing a 26-year career based in Asia, Chris ran Dezan Shira & Associates China operations from 1992-2009, and also established the firms India practice during this time. Chris is now based in Singapore. He is responsible for the development of the practice in Singapore and India, including provision of tax treaty and investment advice for foreign investors throughout the region, including American, European, Indian and Chinese companies looking to invest in China, India, ASEAN and emerging Asia. He is tax resident in Singapore but commutes regularly between the firm’s offices in the United States, Europe and Asia.
