Asian Institute of Management - 2nd Asian Business Conference: “Priming for ASEAN Integration”

Dezan Shira & Associates' Founding Partner Chris Devonshire-Ellis will be attending the Asian Insititute of Management's 2nd Asian Business Conference (ABC), titled "Priming for ASEAN Integration," in Manila, the Philippines. 

The 2nd ABC will be held on June 26 to 27, 2014, against the backdrop of an emerging ASEAN Economic Community by 2015. With open borders and free intra-ASEAN trade, more investments are expected, thereby improving the region’s competitiveness. All these will allow the region to gain greater influence in the global economic and political stage. These opportunities, however, also give rise to certain risks and challenges that need to be carefully assessed. Experts, thought leaders, as well as business and public leaders will jointly explore the developments in the region, and examine actionable measures that can help usher in the envisioned economic community in ways that will maximize the benefits for the region’s people.
