Indian Union Debate 2015 (IUD 2015)

On December 12, The  Indian Union Debate 2015 (IUD 2015) conducted by IUDF will take place in New Delhi.  Siddhartha Thyagarajan, Dezan Shira & Associates' Editorial and Research Associate will participate in the debate.

The Indian Union Debate 2015 (IUD 2015) is the inaugural event conducted by IUDF. It will witness the participation of eminent personalities from various spheres of society. It is scheduled to be conducted on Saturday, the 12th of December, 2015, in the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi.

There will be two motions for the event, with the debates on both motions scheduled for the same day.

• THW abrogate Article 370 of the Constitution of India
• THW establish NJAC, abolishing the Collegium System

The Indian Union Debate Forum (IUDF) is a student initiative undertaken with the aim of facilitating Union-style debates in India. Modeled on the prestigious Oxford and Cambridge Union debate formats, this style of debate presents an ideal platform for the exchange of ideas, as it allows the debaters to deliver crisp speeches, while allowing an extensive analysis of the subject.

With discussion and dialogue being the focal points, the Forum incorporates an inclusive and democratic structure in conducting its activities.
