Relocating your Manufacturing to Vietnam

Webinar | 2 pm PST

On August 8th at 2pm PST, Dustin Daugherty, Head of North American Business Development at Dezan Shira & Associates, will provide information to Manufacturers considering moving their facilities or are moving to Vietnam.

American companies and those that do business between China and the US face an escalating trade war and an increasingly uncertain investment environment. According to AmCham China’s Second Joint Survey on the Impact of Tariffs, 85% of manufacturing respondents said tariff increases were having a negative impact on their business. Over 40% are considering or have relocated manufacturing facilities outside China.

Vietnam remains a favorable choice for those hoping to not lose out on the advantages they once enjoyed in China, including lower-costs – Industrial land prices are over 50% cheaper and the annual manufacturing wage is only 36% of China’s to name a few – as its manufacturing competiveness ranking is expected to jump to 12 in 2020.

What should businesses be aware of when relocating? Join Dustin on the 8th of August as he addresses common questions businesses have when moving manufacturing facilities to Vietnam.

Key topics:

  • The advantages of Vietnam
  • Moving to Vietnam – site selection and due diligence
  • Common legal and operational hurdles
