China's Financial Complexity at a Glance

Foreign investors commonly perceive the financial system in China as one of the most complex in Asia. In this regard, China ranks 130 out of 190 economies for ease of paying taxes globally. Several factors contribute to this perception, including the country’s idiosyncratic regulations, ongoing  tax reforms, strict foreign exchange rules, as well as heavy transfer pricing compliance requirements.
