What are the development zones existing in Vietnam?

Foreign investors can establish their initial presence with a combindation of certain tax incentives and easier processes for registration or paperworks in one of these zones:

• Industrial zones specialize on producing industrial goods or the provision of services for industrial production and manufacturing.
• Export processing zones specialize in production of goods to be exported, the provision of goods to be exported or other export related activities.
• Economic zones have specific regulations with particularly favorable investment environment for different businesses established according to governmental economic zone decree.
• Hi-Tech zones specialize in the research, development and application of high-technologies, nourishment of hi-tech enterprises, training of hi-tech human resources staff and the manufacturing and trading of hi-tech products. there are currently three high-tech zones in Vietnam: Hoa Lac in Hanoi, Da Nang in Danang and Saigin high-tech zone in Hi Chi Minh City.
