BIO

Bruno Hernandez is a Senior Associate with the International Business Advisory team at Dezan Shira & Associates' Beijing office. Bruno guides investors through their pre-market entry process, including location, industry-specific considerations, and cultural. Together with his colleagues from tax, accounting, HR, and payroll services, he provides continuous support to the company's clients in North China. He is also part of Dezan Shira & Associates' German and Spanish Desk in the capital, particularly supporting clients from the DACH area, plus Latin America and Spain. 

Bruno has been living and working in China for the past 5 years, working in South China for the last 3 years as Deputy Director of Foshan Investment Promotion Agency, responsible for Foshan's foreign direct investment promotion, advising investors on tax, legal and other relevant topics. Prior to that, he had worked as a business development manager for a Sino-German company between Germany and China.

Born in Chile and grown up in Germany, Bruno studied Asian Studies and Political Economics at Humboldt University in Berlin, Chinese at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, and completed a management course at Columbia Business School (Executive Education). Furthermore, he is fluent in German, English, and Spanish, and speaks French and Chinese.
