Marco Förster

BIO

As ASEAN Director at Dezan Shira & Associates, Marco Förster oversees the firm's initiatives in Southeast Asia. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, he advises corporates on regional expansion strategies and operational compliance. 

Marco has lived in the region since 2014, with previous postings at the firm’s Beijing and Shenzhen offices. He has held key roles in major advocacy bodies, including Chair of the SME Forum at the EU Chamber of Commerce in China, and Task Force Member at the B20 Summit India. Marco is currently a Council Member for Vietnam at the Indian Chamber of Commerce.

He holds a master’s degree in Global Trade from RMIT University and completed his undergraduate studies in Economics at Zhejiang University of Finance & Economics. He speaks German, English, Mandarin, and Vietnamese.
