Dezan Shira & Associates Relocates Senior Personnel to South China

From November 2012, Fabian Knopf has been based in the Shenzhen office of Dezan Shira & Associates. He will be operating primarily from the firm’s offices in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Zhongshan.

Fabian joined Dezan Shira & Associates’ Beijing office in 2010, moving to the firm’s Shanghai office in the latter part of that year. He was previously a member on the board of the Wirtschaftsjunioren (Junior Chamber) for the German Chamber in Shanghai. Later on, he was in charge of operations in Suzhou, and growing the firm’s presence in that province.

Fabian oversees China Briefing’s German publications, in both print and digital formats, while also regularly contributing to the English-language publications of Asia Briefing. He also regularly travels to Germany to meet partners and clients, as well as to speak on doing business in China, India and ASEAN.

Fabian is co-head of the firm’s German Desk in China, while remaining a point of contact for other foreign clients interested in the Pearl River Delta Region. His expertise lies mainly in corporate structuring, accounting, tax compliance, HR and payroll in China, and increasingly in India and ASEAN.
