Dezan Shira’s Partners Target Greater I.T. Services During Hong Kong Meeting
Dezan Shira & Associates’ four partners met in Hong Kong last week to discuss the development of the firm’s I.T. services platform.
Chris Devonshire-Ellis, Adam Livermore, Alberto Vettoretti and Sabrina Zhang – Dezan Shira’s equity partners – meet on a regular basis to discuss strategy and operational management. The practice are committing millions of dollars to an extensive I.T. support services platform across all of Asia. This will encompass a range of “new” services, including treasury, HR, and other financial administration services.
“The traditional accounting and legal professional model is dying”, says Chris Devonshire-Ellis, Dezan Shira & Associates’ founding partner. “Firms need to adapt to and embrace a future in which new services will be at the forefront of administration and support. China’s own restrictions on how legal services are provided will increase, and both local adaptions and regional solutions need to be found across Asia. It will not be possible to run a profitable practice based on old professional firm methodologies ten years from now”.
