Chris Devonshire-Ellis Advises on the New Silk Road Project
Chris Devonshire-Ellis, Founder and Chairman of Dezan Shira & Associates, has been selected as an advisor for The New Silk Road Project, an innovative mission to understand the development of the new Silk Road and the plethora of challenges and opportunities that it presents.
What is the Objective?
The objective of the project is to explore the emergence of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), an initiative taken by China to revive the historic Silk Road trade. As the team progress along their route, they will be conducting interviews with leading experts and academics to enrich their understanding of the BRI. Simultaneously, they will build an interactive map which can be used as a global BRI resource after the project has been completed.
Chris Devonshire-Ellis also contributed to The New Silk Road Project’s website and will be providing commentary on the political and trade aspects of China’s Belt & Road Initiative as the project team members move along with their journey.
