These include business leaders who wish to diversify their supply chain with a partial shift to India, along with others that plan to tap into India’s growing middle class and consumption demand.
India offers investors a continuously improving business environment. Government initiatives and regulation reforms in recent years have improved the ease of doing business in India and have created immense business opportunities for U.S.-based enterprises.
During the presentation, Rohit gave a brief introduction of FDI policies in India, different entry models businesses can use to structure their local presence and how to select the right mode of entry to suit your long-term goals. Rohit also discussed recent regulatory updates and expected developments in 2019.
After the session, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and participate in a discussion on hot topic issues such as corruption, red tape and bureaucracy in India, among others.
