Discussing ODI at Pujiang Healthcare and Finance Innovation Summit, Shanghai

On June 20 & 21, 2019, members of our Shanghai office attended the Pujiang Healthcare Industry & Finance Integration and Innovation Summit.

Adam Livermore and Vivian Mao, Partners at Dezan Shira & Associates, were invited to attend the pre-event party. The event allowed attendees to expand their business network in overseas direct investment, M&A and financial service related areas – especially in the medical industry.

During the event, our Shanghai team presented on behalf of a Vietnamese skincare and medical beauty company. Vivian Mao and Allan Xu helped to promote their projects to Chinese investors.

The theme of this year’s Pujiang Summit was “Enterprise Choice and Innovation Investment Opportunities under the Great Change”. It drew interest from approximately 20 high-quality, innovative projects, focusing their research on cell therapy and beauty clinics. Additionally, over 1000 professionals attended – including scientists, entrepreneurs and investors – to delve into the future of the Chinese pharmaceutical industry.
