Workshop with Students from Shanghai Jiao Tong University

On July 17 2019, Dezan Shira and Associates welcomed graduates from Shanghai Jiao Tong University to our new conference area for a workshop on Doing Business in China.

Our Senior Associate for International Business Advisory, Lorena Miera, presented on the topic of “Doing Business in China: Opportunities and Challenges”.

Lorena analyzed China’s foreign direct investment and China’s negative and encouraged lists. She also went on to describe popular legal entities for foreign investors, and the new foreign investment law.

Her presentation covered the difference in China’s business operations compared to various other regions, as well as the opportunities and challenges of doing business in China exemplified through two case studies.
