Shanghai and Beijing Offices Present on The New Foreign Investment Law
Recently Dezan Shira & Associates held a series of seminars on China’s new Foreign Investment Law (FIL).
On October 30th Lorena Miera Ruiz (International Business Advisory Senior Associate) and Chenchen Liu (Business Advisory Services Senior Associate) from our Shanghai office co-hosted a breakfast seminar with the Benelux Chamber of Commerce, Shanghai Chapter.
The next day, our Beijing colleague, Ines Liu (International Business Advisory Assistant Manager), travelled to Tianjin to give an afternoon seminar co-hosted by the German Chamber Tianjin and the European Chamber Tianjin Chapter.
To help foreign investors gain a better understanding of the new FIL and better prepare themselves for the upcoming changes, speakers at both seminars gave attendees an in-depth analysis of the new law.
Topics such as the legislative background of FDI in China and the three existing laws governing foreign investment enterprises were covered. The main changes to under the new FIL and pending issues were also discussed at the end of the presentation, highlighting the important aspects investors need to keep an eye out for.
