On November 28 2019, our International Business Advisory Assistant Manager, Ines Liu, was invited to be an expert panelist for a discussion on “Managing Compliance and Risk & Local Models for Tech Transfer”, at the Australia-UK Research & Development and Innovation Forum held at Hilton Hotel, Beijing.
Attendees of this forum gained insights into how they can take advantage of the opportunities that arise out of China’s dynamic R&D ecosystem.
As there have been many concerns about technology transfers in China, especially among research institutions, Ines provided suitable strategies for foreign investors to mitigate these risks and effectively protect their intellectual property while collaborating with their Chinese partners. Moreover, she answered questions concerning R&D collaboration agreements and gave some advice to ensure successful partnership in the country.
Lastly, Ines shared her insights about the new Foreign Investment Law highlighting the innovation incentives foreign-invested enterprises can enjoy while doing business in China.
