Guilherme Campos Elected as Chair of the SME Forum at the European Chamber in China

We are proud to announce that Guilherme Campos,  Shenzhen-based International Business Advisory Manager, has been elected as this year’s Chair of the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SME) Forum at the European Union Chamber of Commerce in South China. The role of forum Chair gives our team a unique opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the on the ground concerns of SMEs operating in various industries in China.

As Chair, Guilherme will work closely with all members in this working group to improve operating conditions for foreign firms and foster their success in China through exchange on practical business issues.

For the last several years, the chair position of this SME forum has been held by international FDI experts at Dezan Shira & Associates.  The role was most recently held by Marco Förster, before his relocation to our Ho Chi Minh office in early 2021. During his time as Chair, Marco worked to help SMEs navigate and overcome the impact of Covid-19 by participating in and hosting various discussions, panels, and events throughout the year. We are excited to have Guilherme step into the role and look forward to assisting many more firms grow and succeed in China.

Within the South China IBA team, Guilherme advises corporate investors on legal and tax compliance along with establishing and expanding their business in the China and ASEAN regions, with a specific focus on GBA. Fluent in English, Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese, Guilherme is also a member of the firm’s Italian and Spanish Desks – special advisory teams dedicated to supporting Italian and Spanish firms navigate the Asian market.
