Ines Liu Speaks on Opportunities for Australian Investors in ASEAN with the Australian Business Council
Recently, Ines Liu, Head of the Australian Desk and International Business Advisory Manager, participated in a digital workshop organized by the Australia China Business Council to explore export opportunities in China and other Asian markets.
Organized in collaboration with the Victorian Government’s Global Victoria Trade Alliance, Ines joined speakers from Austrade, the Silk Initiative, and Seed Health discussing China’s existing trade relationship with Victorian businesses, market diversification opportunities for supply chain alternatives, reducing risks and growing opportunities in the changing economic environment.
Ines’ session focused in on new investment opportunities in ASEAN. With the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) officially in force since the beginning of the year, the new free trade agreement (FTA) looks to builds on other FTAs within APAC and will push economic integration and shape future trade policy. As the world’s largest trading bloc in history, Ines provided an overview of the RCEP and highlighted the new opportunities it brings to Australian investors across various sectors.
