Dezan Shira & Associates’ Ningbo Team Moves into a New Office in City Center 

Dezan Shira & Associates’ Ningbo team recently relocated to a new office in the city center. With 15 years of on the ground presence in the city and 30 years of experience advising clients here, we look forward to further facilitating investment plans and navigating the exciting opportunities in Ningbo as well as the Yangtze River Delta. 

Dezan Shira & Associates’ Ningbo team recently moved into a new office in the city’s central Yinzhou District. Located in the economic and political center of the city, our new office allows us to accommodate the expansion of our business in East China and provides a dynamic workspace for our team with modern facilities and large communal and meeting areas.    

Although not as well-known as its neighboring city Shanghai, Ningbo has always been a city of historical and economic importance in international trade at the southern economic center of the Yangtze River Delta. The city benefits from a multifaceted transportation system based on coordinated development of sea, land, and air channels. It was also one of the first major east coast cities to open to foreign trade. In 2008, Dezan Shira & Associates captured the growing potential of the city and opened an office here. By that time, the company had already maintained clients in Ningbo for over ten years. 

 The Ningbo team is currently managed by Jeff Lu, a fluent English speaking and certified public accountant from the city with a strong background in advising multinationals on their establishment and compliance in China.  

Jeff noted, “The local government has said that to improve the regional business environment, Ningbo would further open its economy and provide more sustained, robust support for foreign investment. With advanced manufacturing industrial clusters and port-adjacent industrial clusters, Ningbo has profitable enterprises in green petrochemical, automobile manufacturing, and high-end equipment production, among others. Given the continuous promotion of Ningbo’s industrial upgrades, foreign-funded enterprises can also invest in opportunities arising out of the city’s transformation of its traditional industries, such as in smart manufacturing, among other fields. My team is looking forward to utilizing our experience to help navigate the exciting opportunities in Ningbo and the Yangtze River Delta.”
