Rohit Kapur Shares Insights on India’s Dynamic Startup Landscape and Business Potential at Asia Berlin Summit 2023
On June 13, our Managing Director for India, Rohit Kapur, participated in the panel “Unleashing Growth and Global Expansion: Scaling Strategies for Startups” at this year’s Asia Berlin Summit. With a key focus on Mobility & Logistics, Energy Transition & Green Tech, and AI, this year’s Summit drew over 1,100 attendees from 39 countries.
An enduring theme that resonated among the distinguished panel of experts from India, Sri Lanka, Japan, Germany, Israel, and Singapore was their unanimous enthusiasm for the vibrant prospects in Asia and the abundant opportunities it offers to companies and startups looking to expand internationally.
One notable aspect that struck a chord with the audience was the recognition of the diverse landscape in Asia. Rohit, in particular, highlighted the vast diversity within India and offered a word of caution on the importance of preparation and the development of a well-structured business plan prior to venturing into the Indian market.
In line with this year’s theme, Rohit delivered an insightful overview of the rapid initiatives taking place in India. He highlighted the government’s strong commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2070 and the notable advancements in mobility and infrastructure as India embraces clean energy.
Rohit also elaborated on the recently introduced National Program on AI, aimed at preparing the nation for forthcoming technological advancements. He concluded with valuable insights into India’s vibrant startup ecosystem and the extensive range of government incentives available. These provide an ideal platform for startups with frontier technologies to flourish and succeed.
