Giovanni Lovisetti Participates in the 4th Edition of the China-Italy Design Innovation Hub Milan Summer Youth Festival in Milan

MILAN – On Friday, July 26, Senior Associate Giovanni Lovisetti from our Milan liaison office attended the closing ceremony of the 4^th edition of the China-Italy Design Innovation Hub Milan Summer Youth Festival, having also attended its opening ceremony on January 22. The China-Italy Design Innovation Hub was established in 2018 thanks to the collaboration between Tsinghua University in Beijing and Politecnico di Milano.

The Festival aims to foster intercultural exchanges in scientific subjects between Chinese and Italian students from the two universities. Numerous students and several professors from Tsinghua University participated in this event. The closing ceremony was attended by Yao Lingjun, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China, and Maria Rosa Azzolina, President of the Italy-China Institute, among others.

As an alumnus of Tsinghua University and the current Vice President of the Tsinghua University Alumni Association Italy, Giovanni was invited to comment on the importance of intercultural activities aimed at promoting increasing cooperation between Chinese and Italian research and production sectors. According to Giovanni: “Study periods undertaken by Chinese students in Italy, along with Chinese and Italian universities’ cooperation in research, represent fundamental pillars for an ever-growing mutual understanding of Chinese and Italian scientific and entrepreneurial culture”.
