Andrea Volpe Travels Across Italy to Share Expertise at Conferences on Global Taxation and Business Strategy

Over the past month, Andrea Volpe, Senior Consultant at Dezan Shira & Associates, participated in three events organized by local bodies of the Italian Chartered Accountant Association (Ordine dei Dottori Commercialisti e degli Esperti Contabili – ODCEC), in collaboration with the National Council of Chartered Accountants (Consiglio Nazionale dei Dottori Commercialisti e degli Esperti Contabili – CNDCEC)

First stop: Vicenza

In today’s global markets, international taxation is becoming increasingly complex. On September 11, the conference titled “The Tax Variable in Internationalization Processes” was held in the city of Vicenza, aimed at equipping accountants with the necessary skills to navigate this important and evolving field. Organized by the ODCEC of Vicenza in collaboration with the CNDCEC and AICEC, the event served as a key opportunity to stay updated on the latest developments and strategies in international taxation.

Andrea Volpe, in his capacity as a member of the CNDCEC’s Internationalization Commission, spoke on the taxation of cross-border flows, including dividends, interest, and royalties.

Second stop: Cagliari

On September 30, Cagliari hosted the conference “Human Resource Management and Global Mobility”, organized by the CNDCEC in collaboration with the ODCEC of Cagliari. The event offered a significant opportunity to address key issues related to managing human resources in an era of increasing global mobility.

Among the keynote speakers, Andrea Volpe joined virtually, having just returned from a business trip to China. He presented on the highly relevant and complex topic of “The Taxation of Employees and Cross-Border Financial Flows”. Drawing on his extensive international experience, Andrea provided an in-depth analysis of the tax implications involved in managing employees abroad, offering valuable insights for companies operating globally.

The conference attracted a wide audience of professionals, both in-person and online, addressing crucial topics such as foreign companies hiring in Italy, managing staff in international contexts, and opportunities arising from funded training programs.

“With globalization, more and more companies are handling cross-country workforces. Understanding tax regulations and best practices in this area is essential to ensure efficient and compliant management,” Andrea stressed during his presentation.

Final stop: Palermo

On October 10, Andrea Volpe was a featured speaker on the fifth day of the professional development course titled “Business Internationalization: Market, Managerial, and Tax Fundamentals”, organized by the ODCEC of Palermo together with the CNDCEC. In his presentation, Andrea focused on strategic topics related to administrative planning and management in the internationalization process, providing practical tools to help businesses expand into foreign markets.

The event, accessible both in-person and online, brought together a large group of notable national and international professionals. Among them were Dr. Emanuele Pirazzoli, Honorary Consul of the Netherlands, and Dr. Davide Farina, Honorary Consul of Poland, both part of the Consular Corps in Palermo, who shared their experiences and insights into international business dynamics.

The course offered an important opportunity for accountants and tax experts to stay updated, emphasizing critical aspects and opportunities in business internationalization, with a particular focus on fiscal, administrative, and tax management.
