Dezan Shira & Associates Contributes Comprehensive Key Report for Vietnam Logistics Summit 2024
Dezan Shira & Associates was invited by Vietnam Investment Review, a publication of Vietnam’s Ministry of Planning and Investment, to contribute to their feature on Vietnam’s logistics industry.
The newspaper, in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning and Investment, organized the Vietnam Logistics Summit 2024 for the second time, bringing together key sector players, politicians, and industry experts to discuss the current state and future of one of Vietnam’s core industries.
Our team contributed to this effort by providing the official event report, which served as the foundation and source for communications surrounding the summit, subsequent press releases, and the core content of the documents made available to delegates.
Executed through a joint effort by our publishing house, Asia Briefing Ltd., led by Editorial Head Melissa Cyrill and Vietnam Briefing Editor Vy Nguyen Hanh, in collaboration with our Vietnam Business Intelligence unit, we are extremely proud to have contributed in a meaningful way and shed light on one of Vietnam’s most important industries.
The highlight of the collaboration was undoubtedly the Vietnam Logistics Summit, held on October 31 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. The event, themed “Transformation to Breakthrough,” was organized by Vietnam Investment Review and attracted over 300 attendees, including leaders from key state agencies such as the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Transport. The summit also featured logistics experts, service providers, manufacturing enterprises, leaders from industrial parks and export processing zones, as well as representatives from the Vietnam Logistics Association (VLA) and both domestic and international business associations.
Vietnam Country Director Vivie Wei was greeted by Editor in Chief Le Trong Minh, Deputy Editor-in Chief Nguyen Hong and Doan Bich Ngoc, who aligned the collaboration with Vietnam Marketing Lead Julia Goeb.
“This collaboration took place at a time when the global logistics sector faced multiple challenges, including unstable economic recovery, geopolitical tensions, and the risk of supply chain disruptions. Despite these difficulties, the global logistics market is projected to reach US$21.91 trillion by 2033, which makes us optimistic, despite remaining obstacles.”, stated Vivie Wei.
On the sidelines of the event, businesses and investors participated in a networking exhibition where key players showcased their expertise and introduced innovative logistics technologies, services, and solutions. This exhibition provided an excellent opportunity for business leaders and executives to foster investment connections and explore corporate partnerships. Our Business Intelligence Associates, Thuy Tien Nguyen and Huyen Tranh Trinh, who were also deeply involved in drafting the report, attended the exhibition as well.
We are proud to have contributed to this impactful conference, which served as a key platform for advancing the logistics sector in Vietnam and highlighting its critical role within the industry.
