Radomir Tomovic Participates in the 2024 South China HR Conference
On November 15, 2024, Radomir Tomovic, International Business Advisory Manager at Dezan Shira & Associates, joined leading HR professionals and business executives at the 2024 South China HR Conference in Shenzhen. Organized by the European Chamber’s South China Chapter, the event focused on helping HR teams navigate China’s economic slowdown and adapt to a rapidly evolving business environment.
Dezan Shira & Associates was honored to be invited to share insights alongside industry experts, contributing to dynamic discussions on aligning HR strategies with business goals and leveraging technology to drive growth. The conference began with updates on Shenzhen’s talent policies, including the GBA preferential individual income tax, work permits, and corporate apprenticeship initiatives.
As the discussions progressed, the transformative role of AI in HR took center stage. Speakers explored how generative AI can enhance efficiency and elevate employee experiences while stressing the importance of responsible implementation. Radomir contributed to a thought-provoking panel on HR trends for 2024, highlighting the importance of integrating AI strategically into HR practices. Reflecting on the balanced approach needed, he remarked:
“As society approaches AI with a responsible mindset, a certain level of hesitancy, and education, we need to think about how to work alongside these tools. At this stage, where technology isn’t simply taking over human tasks, it’s essential to focus on leveraging AI to complement our work rather than glorifying it as superior to human capability.”
